good and bad
The hotel was excellent with a modern decor and convenient to the train station. (right across the street) But it was also in an area which was not the nicest part of the city with a fairly good walk into the historical district.
Traveller's tip
Bologna is full of graffiti and unclean. Its a shame the ancient buildings are being disrespected.

Generally good
Excellent location opposite the train station for day trips out of the city, and only 10-15 mins walk to the main square. Excellent buffet breakfast on the terrace. Clean rooms with slightly odd modern decor. Floor to ceiling window was great, lack of carpet on the floor not so good. I thought the bed was uncomfortable with a very hard mattress but I guess that depends on what you are used to. Overall I would recommend the hotel- good price, good location, efficient staff, great breakfast, just could do with a few improvements to the rooms.

Try and book a restaurant for Saturday nights- they were all very busy

OK hotel, will probably stay somewhere else next time though
Hotel was fine but not anything to write a rave review about. The bed was very uncomfortable.
