A good place in Pisa away from the crowds.
I struggled to find accomodation in the centre of the town, then came across this modern hotel. Yes, it is a little way out, but the good bus service, right past the door, made it a better option than we had expected. The staff were really friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and spacious, and with lovely thick curtains to keep out the light, and remarkable double glazing, we slept well. The dining room was pleasant, lots of food on offer for breakfast, although the scrambled egg and bacon didnt look very appetising-we generally find that the continental option is the best! and with fresh fruit, we certainly had a good meal. We took the bus to the river, and had an enjoyable walk to the old town, where there are lots of places to eat, After reading that the buses finish early on our route, we walked back to the hotel, no problem at all, ( we are both over 60) but it was lovely weather, so could be different in pouring rain! The following morning, we went to the market and saw more of the super buildings and Churches, There is certainly much more to Pisa than the Campo dei Miracoli, beautiful as it is. Get away from the crowds and enjoy the river bank and the rest of the medieval town. We would happily stay at this hotel again.
We have visited Pisa in late September and October when the weather has been perfect for sightseeing.
