Disappointing
We arrived at the front desk to find that the hotel did not have our booking, which wed made and paid 2 months in advance through Expedia. In fact, the clerk had never even heard of Expedia! This is no fault of Expedia, but the hotel, which had mispelled our surname. We eventually got a room which was decent and a nice rainforest experience. However, our room was NOT made up on our inbetween day; very disappointing for a 4-star, pricey resort. This resort is not for the faint of heart, as we had to lug our bags quite far along an uphill path to our room, only to be greeted by a large spider hanging over our front door. The restaurant was also very disappointing, including the breakfast.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Either stay in Port Douglas or Mossman and make day trips to Cape Tribulation, or consider camping in a campervan. There are many beautiful campsites on Cape Tribulation.

Very disappointing - save your money and consider camping

Great rainforest retreat
This place is a little piece of luxury in the rainforest. Great restaurant and really got a feeling of getting away from it all. Would definitely recommend to others.
