Carmel Village Inn
The Village Inn is ideally placed for walking around Carmel and the accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately while we were there the whole town was hit by a cyclone and the power lines were down, so we can’t recommend any places to eat within Carmel, which means we will have to go back again! And would certainly stay at the Village Inn again.

Great Location and Value for the money
We would definitely recommend this hotel if you plan on staying in the Monterey-Carmel area. It is located across the street from a nice park and all the shopping and restaurants and a short/pleasant walk to the beach - this came in handy each evening as we went to see the sunset and then walk to any one of the great restaurants in the area. Their breakfast left something to be desired - some more of the great California fruits and some breakfast muffins/pastries would have made our stay there perfect!
