Good room for the money

Chose this hotel because it was one of the cheaper ones on Grace Beach. Room itself was great - nicely decorated, fridge/microwave and full set of dishes, great AC. Housekeeping did a great job and the turndown service was a nice, unexpected touch. Pool was pretty standard. It was easy to find an empty lounge chair and umbrella on the beach, even in the late morning, and the pool staff was helpful if you needed an umbrella moved, etc. Restaurant overpriced and food standard - only ate there once. Disappointed by hor d’ouvres at Manager’s Reception (salsa & chips, cheese). Got my fill of "Caribbean" food at the Caribbean buffet, then cooked the rest of my meals in my room (grocery shuttle leaves hotel every Monday morning; not free though). Aside from housekeeping and pool staff, I was not impressed with the customer service. It seemed like the default answer to each of my questions was "no," and there was little effort to find a solution (even to something as trivial as a map - I had gotten a good driving map from the front desk one day but lost it, and when I asked a different receptionist the next day for the map, she told me she didn’t have one. The manager walked up and sure enough found the map right there. Was it really that difficult to look where I said it was?!). Took the Caribbean Dreams snorkel trip and loved it - definitely the highlight of the trip. Snorkeling was also good at Coral Gardens. I got a little bored toward the end of the week so I rented a car for 2 days. Found Pelican Beach on the leeward side, which I liked a lot. Most of the other beaches in the guidebooks were too secluded for me.

Would go back

The resort was beautifully landscaped. We had an oceanview room which was nice. The room very well decorated a bit small but comfortable for . Kitchenette was efficient ,used dishes were washed by housekeeping. The food was good especially the lobster which was a dinner special. Although it was a timeshare property also , we were not haggled .This is not a place for party goers like Bahamas Cancun Or Jamaicia .Very laid back and relaxing beach was empty for the most part which was great.Snorkeling a must, Provo sail very good a Catamaran was the vessel. Dream Caicos also was good located at the resort. The only two flaws was a musty smell in the room, but disappeared when the air was on. The other was the shower stall a bit small and we are average size people. Overall a great place to stay

Traveller's tip on dining

The Hemmingway a good place to eat.
