Wonderful hotel in a wonderful city

Second visit to this very special hotel. Beautiful setting if you like very old, quirky places, although the rooms are first class and the breakfast is the best I have ever had in Europe. I would certainly go back again and again.

Wonderful experience in Seville

We arrived on Christmas Day in a pouring down rain. They could not have been more welcoming or more pleasant. They helped us find a place to eat as many places were closed and then made dinner reservations at a place we loved. We were traveling with 2 teenagers who had their own room across the hall. They had a blast exploring all the tunnels and passages throughout the hotel. The breakfast was wonderful and would recommend including in your reservation. Wonderful bathrooms and nice size rooms. Would definately stay there again and recommend to anyone. The location was great as we could walk to everything.

Fascinating and charming hotel

This was unlike any hotel I’ve experienced before, in that the layout of converted houses around courtyards made it feel from the outside like a series of apartments, not hotel rooms. The room itself was quite standard, but comfortable and clean, with minimal noise. I was escorted to my room on arrival, which was essential because of the warren of paths, stairs and corridors. It’s quite easy to remember where you’re going, and reception was signposted at most points. The lounge was comfortable and quiet, with two computer terminals available free of charge for internet access. A perfect place to stay for a short trip.

Charming hotel in a convenient location. We stayed there twice--in different buildings of the the hotel. Nice breakfast, included, in my stay, helpful staff, attractive adn well maintained. I even fit in a massage at the hotel’s spa.

We had a queen bed that was very confortable...the bedroom was small but with a rather large closet and bathroom. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff very friendly. Great location. Very quaint and unique hotel.

"Exceeded all expectations"

This Hotel was our first choice when looking to book.It suited all our requirements.Perfectly located for exploring Seville.We loved the piano bar and the restaurant was superb in every aspect..We booked the basic double room and it was very good.Lovely bathroom and our only small dislike was that the bed was a little hard but thats an indivdual thing.The Breakfast buffet was brilliant .[Unfortunately as usual there were those who felt it neccessary to take away food in their bags!!! ] If you decide to stay at this Hotel and have a little spare time book into the spa for and hour and escape the outside. The gardens, patios and quirky little alleyways make this Hotel charming and extremely indivdual. Last but not least the staff were very nice and helpful and extremely courteous. We would devinately stay here again.

Use the trains to visit Cordoba and Cadiz..They were very efficient clean and comfortable,We did not enjoy the topless bus tour but would recommend the horse and cariage ride.

A site to visit in Seville!

Practically a tourist site in itself, this hotel is made up of a whole city block of individual houses, all with their own interior courtyards full of lush vegetation, interconnected by stairways and by underground, artfully decorated labryinthal tunnels. Anyone who stays here should take the time to fully explore the hotel. Breakfast is copious, varied, one of the best in any European hotel we’ve stayed in. Location is excellent. Don’t miss the piano bar either. Not to mention the excellent restaurant. Staying in this hotel is a unique experience which extends beyond a mere "hotel stay". Only drawback: wi-fi didn’t work in our rooms; we had to go to the piano bar to use our laptops. We fully recommend this hotel.

Do not miss the Plaza Espana! Also, climb to the top of the cathedral tower. No steps, just a series of ramps, so not too difficult. For a great flamenco show, Los Gallos (granted, the audience was full of tourists, but it is a small place, every seat is well located, and the show was well worth it. Also, the shows start earlier than many of the other places which don’t start till around 11 pm)

Staff not friendly and not helpful.

The hotel was an interesting maze of tunnels, narrow hallways, courtyards. We had to memorize 11 different twists and turns to get from the reception entrance to our room. I wore a pedometer one day from our room to the breakfast room and it was 1/4 mile away. Good thing we like to walk. The concierge was not helpful at all. We asked her if she could get us tickets for the next day’s bull fight and she told us to go to the arena ourselves to buy them. Interesting hotel, but not friendly.

Las Casas de la Juderia was a superbhotel, The accommodation, service and food were faultless and the eccentric layout simply added to the charm.

Would definitely go back

The courtyard, fountain and quiet nooks all contributed to a lovely atmosphere. The location was good, within walking distance to several sites. Breakfast was very nice. The bathroom was quite small, but overall I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Wonderful hotel in great location

Charming multi-building old hotel complex which provides excellent service and is only a short walk away from all the major sights. Be forwarned: parking is very difficult! There is not even a small space in front on the hotel to stop and unload! The hotel offers parking, but it’s a block away in a public parking garage.

The rooms were very small but clean. The staff was extremely helpful. The location is excellent.

Beautiful hotel; excellent location

Our standard double room was spacious, quiet, comfortable, spotless, with abundant closet space and excellent bedding. The very pretty bathroom was tiny, but had a great shower. The hotel itself is lovely, sprawling over several buildings, with flower-filled interior courtyards. The staff was very professional. We loved the location, and easy walking distance to everything, and would recommend this hotel to anyone. Our rate included the breakfast buffet, which was terrific! No wi-fi - that is the only negative I can come up with.

Character hotel in great location

We stayed here for a few nights in October 2009, the hotel is full of character, with hidden away patios and secret gardens. Our room was fine, great bathroom but bed a little small. No views but that’s because of the layout of the hotel and isn’t a major problem. Lots of choice at breakfast. You couldn’t ask for a better location.

Traveller's tip

If you have a car, don’t try and park it yourself as the street is very narrow, park up the road and they will park your car for you.

Wonderful choice

I was quite concerned readind other reviews for this hotel, but I noticed all of the bario quarter/latin quarter hotels were getting mixed reviews. Let me alleviate your fears. This hotel was very convenient, comfortable, atmospheric and the grounds themselves are very elegant. The most characteristic hotel I have ever stayed. Very attentive. We needed help with the in-room safe, and they were there right away with a very pleasant attitude. The beds were a tad firm but very comfortable, and I am sensitive to too hard beds. The air conditioning blasted and was a wonderful respite. The location simply cannot be beat! Very, very pleased!

Very close to Aire Arabian bath/spa which was a wonderfully exotic experience!

Garden Spot In a Garden Filled Town

Unique centuries old buildings connected by creatively landscaped patios and a cute underground tunnel. Great amenities including a spa and a rooftop swimming pool. Our package inluded a free breakfast buffet which offered many food choices and champagne. Easy to get lost as you wander around the hotel taking in it’s beautiful sites. Great location. Excellent service from professional staff. I can’t wait to go back.

A taste of Seville

This hotel, although difficult to approach when driving into Seville, is situated in the heart of the city. It is extremely pretty and unique. It has an abundance of courtyards, fountains and ’greenery’. It is rambling and very atmospheric. The staff are pleasant and attentive. The lounge bar is very comfortable and has a relaxing feel to it. It certainly enhanced our stay in Seville and I will recommend this hotel.

I suggest, if driving, to park the car outside Seville and take a taxi to the hotel.

Lovely Hotel.......

the only problem is find the room, would be oh so very useful to have some signs, it took us nearly an hour to find ours, what a waste of precious time, wandering around in the corridors, being utterly lost. No signs to the pool, luckily we bumped into a frenchman who was most helpful and he took us there, not so good getting back as it was the same problem again, no signs. We stayed two nights and the breakfast was good. The only problem for me was a streetlight right outside my bedroom window, apart from that definately recommend this hotel.

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

We went on the tour bus and to the bullring, and the best part was the cathedral. Out of the hotel turn right and walk up the street to the students tapas bar, great food and good portions.

Excellent location and unique hotel

The hotel was amazing and the pool was most welcome in the Seville heat. Great location near the cathedral and many local tapas bars and restaurants. The staff very helpful but ensure you don’t lose the hotel map as it’s easy to get lost around the all buildings and secret patios!

Beautiful Authentic Andalucian Hotel

Beautiful Hotel set in the heart of Seville, within a very short walk to all the best attractions such as the Cathedral, Alcazar and Giralda. Hotel itself is very pretty with lots of passageways, small courtyards, and fountains which help create a wonderful ambience. The rooftop pool is a great bonus - especially during August although the water was a bit murky during our stay. The towels and sunbeds were, on the other hand, immaculately clean. Overall, we loved this hotel and will certainly stay there again during our next visit to beautiful Sevilla.

Lovely hotel

We loved this hotel, it was full of character and in a good position and had parking (about 20 euros per night). Staff very friendly and helpful, lovely rooms. The hotel is a real maze and takes a lot of getting around so not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties.

Fabulous -- the people there were wonderful!

The hotel was even better than I expected, and I had already read some positive reviews. This is the place to stay! It was right in the middle of everything you want to see.
