Good alternative
It is 3* hotel, not 4* as Expedia tells, but in fact most Mercur’s are 4* and this one is very close to 4*. Expensive inet, expensive but tasty breakfast, 10 min by foot to Port d’Orleans metro station, rather small room, but very clean. Minibar was locked for some reason )). Nothing special in surrounding areas, but no danger at all. Be prepared to use metro to reach any historic place, it would take 20-30 min to get to downtown. Tried different hotels in Paris, including Kyriad, Holiday Inn and Ibis and this one by far the best in price/quality.

Great place to stay
We went on a very short trip to Paris and the hotel was just a short walk from the metro stop making trips into the city to see the sights very easy. The room and hotel was very clean and comfortable with a great shower and very comfy beds.
