Good Location- once you find it!
I holiday in val disere most years and im certainly not a luxury skier, i generally stay in the cheapest place i can find and make the most of the slopes. Normally i stay in la daille but this year i was forced to look elsewhere. I booked this hotel and We travelled by eurostar, so we got into resort at about 8am and the map we were e-mailed indicated that the hotel was situated in the la daille area on the left as you go into val. Not the case. This led to a 25 minute walk dragging luggage in -15 temperature, not fun. The hotel is actually pretty close to the town centre about 4-5 doors down from le foret bar and the instructions on the map (disregard the picture) are pretty acurate. We arrived at the hotel and there was a room where we could leave our luggage until check-in (5pm) although this was not secure but we thought it was better than sitting with a bag all day (were insured!) and hit the slopes . Check in was smooth, our telly didnt work which was politely explained as what more or less translated as tough luck! The room was pretty basic but ok. The biggest downfall was that it didnt have an oven, only a microwave, which when you are trying to be genuinely self-catering is a little difficult. None of this affected our holiday and we had a great time with a warm room to come home to. Im currently trying to decide... but it might be a return to la daille next year as although it sounds sad the oven may swing it!
If you are travelling eurostar, skip the first bus from bourg and do a shop there at the real supermarket, it will likely save you £££s for a weeks food! If buying alcohol, even more....

basic but adequate
15th stay here, usually as part of a package. Room and beds basic but adaquate for a week, but bathroom had mould - lots of it and toilet smelly .In need of renovation.
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
Reasonably close to slops and lifts
