Look for second to visit
Indeed I booked this hotel as base to traverse between Switzerlan, but decoided aginst because of two reason: a. Never felt like leaving the hotel because of the comfort and fun filled activities gathered in one place. b. It was realy and uphill task to make up to the top every day.

Good Skiing with Basic Accomodations
This is not a hotel. It is an appartment building, where one gets an appartment. Appartments are only with basic furniture and appliances. There is no service and one is expected to clean the appartment and leave it in a reasonable condition for the next renter. However, Avoriaz has incredible ski areas that are extremely well maintained and with excellent snow. The village itself is with no car traffic and has many nice pubs and restaurants. So, it is excelelnt skiing and romatic. But, with very basic services.
