Very nice!
A simply lovely hotel. The staff was pleasant, and rooms very nice. The pool area was very relaxing and clean. For the price, was absolutely wonderful!

Pity about the bed in room 415
We were very happy with this hotel really apart form the bed which was lumpy and uncomfortable.New bed or mattress urgently needed! What a pity as everything else was fine.Good breakfast. We were only taking a short break away and so only stayed 2 nights. We probably should have complained.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
A convenient place to stay if visiting the Suffolk coastline and beautiful and historic countryside. Ipswich waterfront is definitely on the up too.

Good but not great
Impressive building, grounds, services and staff. However, there were a few points which could be improved: 1. Although the room was large (for a British hotel), the twin beds were of standard ’single’ size and not the most comfortable. Expected larger beds considering the quality of the hotel in general. 2. Shower was lukewarm at best and the tiling in the bath area was worn out - required some refurb. 3. No safety deposit box in the room. Considering the price was reasonable, I can’t complain too much. However, as a regular international traveller I feel that the points above were lacking compared to what I would usually expect.
