Highly Recommended
The hotel and pool area was very clean, tidy and not too crowded. The hotel staff were very polite and courteous too and nothing was too much trouble.

Fantastic Hotel
Stayed at the Barcelo Las Margaritas in Playa Del Ingles in October 2007. Found the hotel and staff to be extremely polite and helpful. The food was superb - lots of choice during breakfast and dinner (we were half-board). There was a free shuttle to the beach (10 mins) daily whereas other locations by taxi did not cost more than 3-5 Euros in the local region.
If you are planning to go to the nearby Aqualand water park - get there early in the morning as ticket counters are few and queues start building after about 11am. Many slides have a height restriction of 1.2 metres so if you are taking younger kids (upto 5 yrs old) you may be a little disappointed. Same applies to the Holiday World theme park which is nearby as well.

Great hotel
We had a great time at Margaritas. We were on the 8th floor, so had a great view of the whole complex, looking down to the pool area. Hotel service was excellent, with the restaurant being particularly good, serving different food in a buffet style every day.
Traveller's tip on nightlife
For night life, head to the Yumbo Centre. It’s absolutely jumping with people after dark.
