Great Location
A few minutes walk to the pretty harbour with lots of restaurants to choose from. Very very pretty. Didn’t avail of the pool was only there for one night but it seemed very popular. We had a room facing the sea which was lovely. Only negative was the air conditioning wasn’t very effective. Temp mid-30’s made it an interrupted night’s sleep.

Ideal for a quiet break
The Barcelo Hamilton Hotel has a good location,being on the coast and free from traffic noise. The staff are friendly and all speak English, and the hotel has a relaxing reception area and a large bar in which the staff are very helpful and friendly. The restaurant food was okay, nothing special, although it was great value for money. The hotel seems to cater for the older tourist, but that wasn’t a problem. The only setback was that there are no beaches in the immediate area. Overall I would recommend the hotel for a relaxing, quiet holiday.

The Es Castell town is not particularly interesting for tourists/sightseeing, so if you are looking for something to see, the capital Mahon is a nice place to visit for a day trip.

"Would go again"
We had a week on h/b and then upgraded to a/i. The Hotel staff were very good across the board.The hotel location was excellent, entertainment every night and well attended by the locals which was not a problem.Food very good with some dishes prepared on request, including the bacon and eggs for breakfast.A lovely short walk from outside the hotel along the prom a of Es Castell and fantastic views of the Cruise Liners coming and going from Mahon.Also a smashing small Tapas bar within 5 minutes walk towards the former parade ground, used extensively by locals and expats,nice atmosphere and wonderful tapas.We thoroughly enjoyed our hotel and the trip.
