Great staff and service, but the room was too hot
This hotel had a very friendly staff that provided good service and recommendations. Room was spacious with a good view of the Matterhorn. Only issue was the climate. The room only had a radiator. With the sun beating down on the room during the day, it was too hot. The only ventilation is to open the doors and windows to the outside, but there was no breeze. We got a fan on the second night, which helped some.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Take the gondola to the Matterhorn - all the way to the top! Go slowly once you arrive as the air is thin. The Matterhorn museum in town is worth a visit to understand the history of Zermatt and the Matterhorn. Plenty of shopping in town, nice place to walk around.

Very nice Hotel in Zermatt
Based on all of the Hotel prices in Zermatt, this hotel was reasonable and newly updated. Free breakfast was included (not Continental but full beffet). We had a balcony overlooking the mountains and they serviced your room twice a day. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Very Good Hotel
Good Location. 2 Minutes walking time from the train station in Zermatt. Rooms are modern and well designed. Breakfast Buffet is excellent.
