Will be going back asap
We were extremely satisfied with the Barcelo. We took our young granddaughter with us (age 4) and the staff could not have been more helpful, the food was very good and the selection excellent. Our only small complaint is that there was not enough shade around the swimming pools. Guests were asked not to reserve the umbrellas. We complied with this request originally and then were unable to use the pool because of the lack of shade. It is of our opinion that there should have been a greater effort on the part of management to ensure that the rule was upheld. But other than that we could highly recommend the hotel, it was very good value for money and we will be returning.

Enjoyed the stay
My husband and I travelled with friends to Tenerife for a week holiday in April. This was the first time any of us had stayed at a ’resort’ hotel so we were a little nervous. We were really impressed with the location and facilities. The staff were also amazing. Our one complaint may have been that the air conditioning did not work well. Staff told us it was set to start working automatically when the outside temperature exceeded 21 degrees C. During our week there were at least 3 days about 21 and the air conditioning never worked. Still I would recommend this hotel to anyone other than young singles as it was a little quiet.

Greay Hotel For Relaxing Holiday
This was our fiirst Trip to tenerife,althoug we have stayed in other Barcelo hotels many times.The Barcelo Santiago enjoys spectacular views and is set in a quiet resort close to los Gigantes I would recommend this Hotel for the more mature Holiday maker If you want nightclubbing and partying stick to The larger resorts We went in half term and the hotel was fully booked, But still found the atmosphere relaxing and the staff attentive and helpful. Very difficult to find anything negative to say as the room was lovley, very clean. Food excellent, something for all tastes. If you want to Chill out and lie by the pool this is the place, but to get prime position you will need to get your towels on the sun beds about 8.30
Recommend Restaurant San Fransisco 40 yards to the right of hotel entrance Large portins of nice food, Good Value
