Difficult to Get into
The hotel is in a fairly seedy part of town, however it is only a 10 minute walk to the town centre. To get into the hotel itself is difficult. It is not clear. There is a small door with Hotel Nobilis on it, and when you get inside there are just stairs up and down and no indication how to get to the reception. You have to go up. Alternatively you can walk through a set of automatic glass doors (which don’t appear to lead to the hotel but do) and take a lift (which isn’t clear) which also goes to reception. The rooms are big enough but sparse and the beds are very uncomfortable. I was there in early October and the restaurant never opened, nor did the ’tavern’. There is free wireless internet, but it isn’t available to the rooms, but OK to sit in reception and use it. The people on reception are friendly and helpful.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Don’t bother with the area near the hotel. Just turn right and walk for 10 minutes, over a viaduct, and the centre of town is really nice. Not much is open in the morning, a lot of cafes don’t open until midday. Even the centre of town is a bit dead in the evening. Not many people around.

Luxembourg sans le luxe
Hotel Nobilis was an efficient, minimalist, comfortable, hotel experience for the traveler not looking for luxe surroundings. The Hotel is located immediately outside the old city and is in easy walking distance to most historic sites.
