Elite Stadshotellet Karlstad Sweden

The building is old and charming. The folks working there were friendly and helpful. The bar has an outside seating area from which you can see the lovely flower bedecked bridge.

Traveller's tip

We walked around the town on a Sunday afternoon and discovered an organ recital was to be held that evening. We attended and enjoyed the church and the music very much.

Not impressed

Very poor 3/4 star hotel. No tea/coffee making facilities in room, no comfortable chairs in room, very little clothes space (no drawers), no lounge where tea and coffee could be ordered, sit and read a book etc, no restaurant in the evening. Cleanliness only just acceptable.

Needs refreshing

A bit dated but I think a renovation is planned. Good location, good breakfast. Rooms not very impressive but perfectly acceptable
