Great
Very central, very nice hotel. Rooms are great, staff are great - we really liked it. Small criticism, breakfast service a bit slow and a bit expensive - other than that, excellent.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Go to Sintra - get the metro from Rossio to the train station and then its 45mins on the train. A nice day out.

Excellent city break in Lisbon
Just 2 hours from London and in the same time zone, Lisbon was an excellent choice for a four day city break. A walking tour and tram ride with a local guide gave us an overall feel for the city. Next day was spent out in the countryside at Sintra and to the most western point of Europe, travelling back along the coast. Must see sights such as Jeronimos Monastery and Belem Tower, are just a short tram ride away. The Sofitel is well placed in the Baixa area and it was lovely to return to the comfort of our room each evening. Breakfasts were particularly good. We look forward to a return visit to see the museums that we couldn’t fit in during our break.
