Everything you need
The Hotel was in an ideal location - very close to vaparetto stops which service the island and to the airport. It was tucked around the back of a block which means it was less noisy. Nearby amenities were great (incl. supermarket, restaurants, shops & markets). The room at first seemed small but had everything you need; desk, chair, bed, wardrobe, safe, tv, bedside table, bathroom with shower, toilet. The service was excellent - staff were always friendly and efficient, 24hour reception, baggage store and the room was serviced every day. I would definitely come back and recommend to friends!
The Venice Biennale is a must see if you are fortunate enough to visit when it is on. Give yourself at least 3 days and even then you will never see it all. Ask guides at one of the pavilions for their recommendations as they will know. Another top tip is make sure you have a very good map as it is very confusing and difficult to navigate and give yourself plenty of time to get anywhere (especially if it is not a major location) Major locations are often signposted so if you are lost head for one of them and then find yourself on the map again.

Outstanding Hotel for What I Paid!
Because of the lower price than other hotels, I was not expecting much. However, I was pleasantly surprised! No complaints whatsoever. Dont miss the good view from the balcony/smoking area. Conveniently located near Rialto between the train station and San Marco Square. Unfortunately, I had to stay at another hotel on the second day, and the other hotel was about 30% more expensive and the room, service and amenities were not even close... I will stay at this hotel again next time in Venice.

Good stay for a couple of nights only
Very central and easy to spot although the directions did not do justice when you dont realise just how small the streets are.
If you arrive in the evening and plan to travel by water taxi - which goes under many different names and is confusing - take the mozzie spray if its hot - we were bitten senseless while we waited for the Alilaguna!
