Bad part of town?
Whe I visited this hotel it was very hard to get in and out of the parking lot due to road construction in front of it. I didn’t find the bed very comfortable. I went out for the evening and returned to a whole squad of police cars. A couple cops had some suspicious looking characters rounded up in the back parking lot talking with them and in the front another policeman was handling some tenants of the hotel. As I walked through the lobby I over heard the desk clerk on the phone telling someone they had 2 minutes to get out of the room before she sent the police up to get them. I made sure to use all the locks on the door that night. Also the toilet broke and would not flush that night or the next morning. Hotel was not ’dirty’ per say, but had things like red stains on the lamp shades and holes in the wall where the bathroom door had been opened too hard. The hotel was not located close to many ammenities, unless you needed a payday loan. Overall I think the hotel is located in a less than desireable part of town, and I’m dissapointed at the room I got vs. the rate.

Hotel was okay, though there were some issues
I stayed in this hotel for one night. It was my first time to Toronto and I thought staying in Brampton would be a good, more affordable alternative for lodging. The surrounding area was okay. There was some construction in progress on the major street, which caused a lot of traffic. However, there are several places to eat near the hotel which was a big plus. Also a plus is that it is close to Toronto - a 20 to 30 minute drive. The hotel itself is also okay. There is an "inn" or annex attached to the hotel which I assume is leased on a weekly or monthly basis. This annex and the parking lot right in front of it (the lot behind the hotel) seemed unsafe - it is poorly lit and no security. The lobby has a pretty good appearance, though there is a hallway leading to the laundry room which always had the door opened - this cheapened the overall good appearance of the lobby. The room itself is okay. My room, with 2 queen beds, had a desk and its wireless internet connection was very convenient. The factor that made my stay unsatisfying was the fact that my toilet flushed very poorly. When I let the lobby attendant know, he acted as if he didn’t know, and that was it - no apologies or any other type of remorse. The staff were not the friendliest. I asked the lobby attendant for nearby places to eat and he didn’t really recommend anything, thus giving me the impression that he didn’t want to help or he just didn’t know. In addition, his overall attitude wasn’t very hospitable. The continental breakfast is very poor, only a few items out and in very limited quantities.
