Great, if overly trendy, hotel
We stayed at the Le Meridien in Vienna for a week. The hotel staff is extraordinary in terms of service. The concierge was invaluable, researching and coming back with great suggestions for food and other questions we had. The location puts you right between the Opera and St Stephens Cathedral and the Museums. The gym was great for a hotel and the staff helpful. The only negative is a function of our age- it is a very trendy hotel and at night the lobby buzzes with techno music. Luckily the lobby noise does not travel up into the hotel.

Perfect Place
We absolutely loved the Le Meridien. Stayed 3 nights in October. Great hotel. Perfect location to all Viennas sites. (Across from the Opera House). Classy modern style with all the ammenities. Very comfortable rooms. Extremely professional staff with superior concierge services. Fun bar and very nice health club. Could not have been better! Definitely a 5 star hotel.
Easy metro ride to the Karlsplatz station from the main Rail Road Station. Only a 2 block walk.

Its a comfortable and lively modern art museum you can sleep in. Very impressed
Excellent service: On a Sunday (the day when everything is closed in the whole of Austria) the staff managed to find me a red rose! (I proposed later over breakfast). Its a lively modern and young environment. With that modern art and SPA vibe. The bar downstairs is always full of people and they usually have a DJ playing acid, disco or smooth jazz. We ate out all the evenings but did have pancakes for breakfast in bed (very tasty!).. ..oh! And the bed was great.. oh and the bathtub and jet shower really hit the spot. The only very minor issue was that the room was overly heated and turning the air-con on made little difference. If youre going to Vienna consider it. I know we will again :-)
