Great hotel

A great hotel at a very good price. The room was spotless and the shower room was much larger than you’d expect with lots of shelf space. The location is also good, very close to a U-bahn station and only a few stops from Alexanderplatz. There are lots of local shops and cafes that are open late and a Netto supermarket nearby. Would definitely stay there again.

I found a free walking tour of some of the sights. You just tip the very knowledgeable and entertaining guide at the end. It lasted over 3 hours (there was a half hour comfort/food break!) and included the Wall, Check Point Charlie and many other historic landmarks. They take place daily, in all weather apparently, and start outside Starbucks at the Brandenburg Gate at 11am and 1pm, but worth double checking on-line. I just did a search for free stuff in Berlin. Not sure I can name the company on here. They do other tours for a charge.

Good 3 Star Hotel in East Berlin.

At first sight you might say what have I let myself in for, with this hotel give them a chance, its worth it. As you walk from either the tram stop or train station, it is typical East Berlin street, however the hotel is a modern building. The staff are friendly and this is one of the few 3 star hotels that serve hot food, when I go back to Berlin, I would use this Hotel again.

Great value for your money

5 stops out of Alexanderplatz (45 minute walk or 6 minutes if you use the tube) & the underground is every 5 minutes & it is only 350m from the station.
