cross between a hotel and a family camp
the hotel is situated near the beach with many activities, facilities on site. I saw many families staying there involving in the activities (a pool for the young ppl, a big swimming pool, beach facilities, theatre... Room was primitive, small, but clean. You do not need to go outside the facility at all. A/C was barely functional and TV had only one channel. I assumed that we were not expected to stay in the room other than sleeping time. Consuming within hotel required applying a waist band to record charges. The cashier asked to hold on to my flight ticket to ensure I would pay. Thus, no cash changes hand till checkout. The facility is at the beach north of La Marsa. Taxi from La Marsa to the hotel takes TD5-6. From La marsa, you can take TGM (TD1.3) to Cathage sites and ends at Marine. walk across to the tram station to take tram (less than 1 TD) go Central. It is out of the way, but public transit is accessible. I would go back to the same hotel, it is clean and unique. It would be more interesting perhaps with kids.

Great value all inclusive
The resort is in a very remote location but it is a short ride into Tunis. Yellow taxis are readily available, very cheap and the drivers very friendly and helpful. Tunisians in general are very friendly and genuine. Accommodation is very nice and comfortable but had problems with the plumbing. My companions had to change rooms on the third day as their bathroom kept flooding and the shower drain in my room could not cope and water was not draining away fast enough. The swimming pool is huge and well maintained although not a place for relaxing. They have entertainment in the pool area (aquarobics, aerobics, etc) and they continually play banging techno music. The beach was much more relaxing and is only a few minutes walk away. There are free sunbeds and shades and no music. Although I suspect it may be different during high season. There are traders on the beach selling (jewellery, hats, fruit) but they are friendly and polite and dont hassle you. Do take a camel ride along the beach it is really good fun but believe me, one hour on a camel really is all you need. The village Sid Bou Said is a must see. The markets are fun, even if you are not buying and the houses are all painted white with blue doors and shutters. Brush up on your French before you go as the hotel staff are really friendly and helpful but speak very little English and this resort seems to be mainly popular with the French. This is a really good, value for money, all inclusive resort. Recommended.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Make sure you use ONLY yellow taxis. When we arrived in Tunis we succumbed to one of the touts and were charged 40 GBP (70 Euros) from the airport to the resort. On our return we took a yellow taxi from the resort to the airport and it only cost us 10 GBP (20 Euros).
