Inexpensive place to stay
My wife and I stayed here and were not terribly impressed. There was a lot of trash lying around in the landscaping and the derelict hotel next door was somewhat worrisome. With all of that said, however, the included meals were substantial, most of the employees were freindly and the hotel was located right on the beach. English-only travelers may experience communication difficulties with the staff.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Ride the train into the central station at Tunis. The local station is within easy walking distance from the hotel. Dont pay for overpriced taxis.

Would not return to this hotel.
The hotel was premonidantly German and French. Even the reception staff couldnt speak English or even understand what we were trying to say. The staff were all very rude and we got hassled everywhere around the hotel. Nearly everybody staying at the hotel had some kind of food poisining. The standard of food was very poor and I would not return to this hotel. Tunis however was lovely. I would return again to stay at another hotel.
Traveller's tip on shopping
The medina (meaning street market) is Tunis is fabulous!! Lots of winding lanes and bright, vibrant market stalls.

not inpressed at all
after many requests for clean towels no towels appeared ;had to literally beg for clean towels and toilet paper, room was very basic, menu was repeated so often not at all impressed, flies were seen hovering over salads and most food.no fans were present. most annoying was that bed sheets were not at all changed for all the 4 days we stayed.we find it hard to believe that this was a 4 star hotel not pleased at all!!!!!
Traveller's tip
hotel was in the middle of nowhere, okay if you want to stay put definitely not for the sightseeing traveller
