Below 3 star hotel
I stayed with my family in August 2009 for 4 nights in Yasmine Hotel. Overall, I was not impressed by the hotel. It is supposed to be a 5-star hotel, but it is in fact a well below-3-star hotel. The area where the hotel is situated is nice and clean, and well animated. But the hotel itself wasnt great. The food presented to us was almost the same everyday, and was of low quality. The service within the hotel is overall poor, although the personnel tried their best.
Traveller's tip on dining
The Marina area has a great choice of restaurants of good quality.

Cant wait to go back
We were so impressed with "Yasmine Beach" hotel, this hotel has its own private beach and so many other facilities, such as (payable) Thalasso, buffet restaurant, 2 pool bars, lush gardens, tennis court, reception bar the list is endless, nightly free entertainment, friendly staff and management. The food was excellent too with so many varied dishes to choose from. We would most definately use this hotel again.

Very disappointing
We stayed here between 3 and 11th April when weather was cold and rainy; we had one really sunny day. As a result, we had to rely on the hotel facilities to compensate and wed also paid for an all inclusive deal. I thought the food was very good, but only one restaurant was open and my two teenage kids didnt really enjoy the ethnic offerings that were often mis-labelled, eg, fish as meat. Everything else was lacking: given that it advertised various things to do, there wasnt a working Internet service, only two English speaking TV channels: BBC News and CCN, limited pathetic evening entertainment, the same Kenny G tape playing in the background, no tea & coffee facilities and chairs in room. Fridge was rusty and needed defrosting. As stated before, this is not a five star hotel and it hadnt been pointed out to us that we were visiting it "out of season". The beach is across a busy main road and didnt seem very private. It would do for families with young children who seem to be kept very happy by the "animation" staff. Also, those whod like to get stuck into serious drinking and get your moneys worth! Check on the weather before you go!
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Take your own laptop, books, cards, etc. Go "in-season" and only expect this as an opportunity to lie in the sun (depending on when you go!.
