Highly Recommended
We read the review off of Expedia and decided to stay. We were impressed with the location of the hotel-it is across the street from one of the entrances to old Pompei. The staff were very pleasant and spoke English. The room was smaller but very comfortable. There was a ceiling fan in the room which we liked. There was also a deep bath tub as well as a shower, and lots of hot water. The breakfast has lots of choices and we enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. Would defintely go back...

WOW!!!! What a fabulous find! Thank you other reviewers.
Whilst looking for a fairly last minute getaway I found this hotel. On reading the reviews (without initially realising where it was) I was smitten and needed to stay at this hotel. My husband and I stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it - its everything you could wish for - very close to the entrance to the ruins but without all the crowds - very peaceful - and just the thought of drinking something cold and eating nuts and olives whilst sat in the hotels lemon grove makes my heart pine to go back. You must be difficult to please if you dont thoroughly enjoy your stay here. Some tips though - *Take money - its hard/expensive to exchange in Pompeii *There are no prices on anything - so beware *Its better (if youre up for it) to get a three day pass to the attractions (Articards dont seem to exist any more) *Travel by train - they look intimidating (covered in grafitti) but theyre cheap and reliable *Avoid Naples - very, very dirty *There are two (soon to be three) train stations in Pompeii - make sure you catch the correct train - 1 goes to Sarno, 1 goes to Sorrento - theyre not on the same line (Sarno line station closer for Hotel Forum)
Traveller's tip
Taxis are very expensive (agree price at hotel - not after the journey) Beware of children beggars - not too bad in Pompeii but bad in other areas Go to restaurants recommended by hotel - they are the best Get audio guide for ruins - cheaper and more knowledgeable than human guides Take drinks and spare batteries when viewing ruins - nowhere to buy any inside Dont try to do ruins in 1 day - theyre massive When walking walls - use insect repellant - got badly bitten around ankles

Loved it!
Fantastic hotel...truly! The accommodations, the hotel, and the breakfast - superb!! Its steps away from the Ruins, but if I had stayed for more than one night I would have been more than satisfied just staying at the hotel! The breakfast was delicious in a charming garden atmosphere. The staff was helpful and very pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to everyone! Thank you Forum Hotel for making my first Italian visit a pleasant one!
