A very friendly hotel
Just got back from a week in Palermo, where we stayed in the Hilton Excelsior Hotel. We had an enjoyable stay, made even more so by the friendly and helpful staff. The hotel itself is beautiful, with fantastic art nouveau style glass chandeliers throughout. The hallways and rooms are well maintained and finished to a high standard. Most importantly, the bed in our room was very comfortable. And I am picky about beds. I was expecting the usual European hotel bed: hard as a board and yet lumpy. But this was a real king sized mattress, pleasantly soft, but also firm and supportive. After all the touring around each day, it was great to get a good night’s sleep! I would definitely recommend this hotel. The location is also convenient for touring around Palermo, catching buses out to Mondello, and into the old city, etc.

perfect location, I’d like to come back
I enjoed our stay in this hotel , but the first night there was a nightmare ( traffic noise from Via Liberta!), then I asked for another room and ,since that moment, it was a wonderful stay. Many thanks to Mr Giuseppe ( the doorman) who was extremely helpul and friendly.

A lovely hotel in good location
A lovely hotel, spoilt by wet room from faulty airconditioning. Wonderful staff. Location is good a well. Bit difficult to find on the map though.
