Hotel Vista Alegre
Great hotel and very friendly staff. It was a little than 1 mile slightly uphill from the train station and the old city, but nice hotel for the money. Coming from the airport requires a bus then a 25 minute walk. A metro that will get you to the main bus station and to buses from the airport is also available at the train station.

Economical and clean
I travel alone and resent paying for two when there’s only one of me, so it was pleasant to find a place to stay for a very reasonable price. The hotel was only a short walk from the town centre where I arrived form the airport by bus. I was greeted very cordially and found the room very clean, with TV and en-suite bathroom. I didn’t enjoy the long, thin, bolster like pillows. They weren’t comfortable, especially for sitting up in bed to read. The simple breakfast service was adequate, but the coffee was not to my taste. I would have liked to have access to a kettle to make myself a cuppa later on. having a room overlooking the road was noisy from early morning, but the double glazing kept it quiet enough to sleep through. Altogether it was very convenient for a few days stay in the pretty city.
