hotel facilities are really good, but the room was basic
enjoyed our stay in this hotel, brilliant location walk from 5mins close to all the bars at Veronicas and Starcos (Linekers, Yates, Tramps) 5mins walk from San Eugenio shopping centre, ideal place for gifts. Good swimming pools, It has massage and treatments but is expensive. Only paid for breakfast buffet which was not the best, the cooked food like scrambled eggs, beans, fried potatoes, tomatoes, omlettes, pancakes were good, but the fruit and cereal was rank, it the type of stuff that makes tesco value range look like M&S as well as the fruit juices I have never tasted anything worst, even yogurts and smoothies yuck. The room we were put in was basic, no iron, no fridge, no kettle, mini bar service available at higher cost. The reception staff were good. TV only had 4 english channels, 3 news and eurosport. At least it had balcony, though, probably got a better room if we booked an non ecomony room. the hotel was nice though outside the room. Internet a bit steep at 1 euro per ten mins.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
If your young and want some night life, best to have drinks in the cheap bars away from Veronicas, then head up to the veronicas/starcos area, Linekers, Tramps, Yates, at around 12, 1 ish or so, stay away from bobbys

Pretty good but....
This quite sophisticated hotels facilities, including pools, bar, restaurant, etc are very good - you could spend the entire holiday here if you wished. Nevertheless, other nearby hotels are even more palatial - raffishly and glitzily so. The neighbourhood is clean, apparently safe but fairly downmarket - nearest bar is the Ibrox (sorry Rangers Fans). Next is the Brummie Bar, close to the Aberdeen Steak House. Expect frequent interception by people trying to lure you into their restaurants and bars. Full English breakfast is easier to get here than in London. Likewise pints of Tetleys. If you hire a car, note that the Gran Tinerfes car park is small and often full. On-street parking nearby is very difficult.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
If you do get a car, visit Mt Teide, obviously, but also Los Gigantes, up the west coast, and the country north of there, spectacular and hilly, including Masca and the small towns of Buenavista del Norte - an interesting working town - and beautiful Garachico (our favourite)

would go back...
hotel is impressive and an easy taxi ride from airport - took about 20mins. located right on beach with impressive pools and terraces. plenty of space and loungers. never crowded but was early march on our visit. breakfast was a buffet of every imaginable food from cold meat, bread to english style cooked available until "closing time". beach access was a bonus and the long promenade allowed a walk to costa adeje one way and to (at least) playa de las americas the other way. plenty more bars and restaurants on the way. all in all a very pleasnt stay.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
beware that for some reason the beach access door and therefore access to the promenade(although operated by room key ) is disabled at 10pm so you will need to walk all the way round the hotel to gain access to this area
