It’s really a dorm

Price was low, but: bathroom is in the hall and shared, and prices aren’t low enough to be a hostel. So it’s not the best deal ever. Location is good though.

Rough around the edges, but livable

For the money, the place was OK. Location was perfect for my particular need, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay there. The shared bathrooms were fine, except when the TP ran out one night -- disappointing. Interactions with the staff were uniformly excellent. They were friendly, helpful folks quick to take care of anything that was needed. Don’t let them give you room 201, though, which has a window directly above the vent hood of a restaurant downstairs.

Caveat Emptor

Very close to the Univ. of Wash., this is a "european" inn - no bathroom in the room, no TV, no elevator, no A/C and a small wash basin with a cracked mirror in the room. The stairs are steep (1 of our party is 80 years old). No apparent maid service during our stay. The bathroom down the hall had 2 showers and 2 stalls and no mirror.

Traveller's tip on local attractions

Good place to stay for 1-2 days while visiting friends in Seattle (or attending a daughter’s graduation)
