Lovely place in need of updating

We stayed for a week in November. Our first room was a dark depressing cave fit for trolls! The headboard looked as if a tramp had taken up residence for a year or two, the light switches were falling off, and the ground floor patio door wouldn’t lock. After three trips to reception to moan at the very helpful staff we were eventually moved to a room fitting the hotels 4 star status. Overall we were most impressed with the hotel, the grounds were spotless and vast. We stayed half board, great breakfast, except for the tea and coffee. The food was good in the evening, don’t bother opting for lunch unless you like grotty slop left over from the previous evening! The spa facilities were fantastic, although the gym was not up to scratch. Drinks at the bar were very expensive, we bought our own and took them back to the room. The walk along the prom to Playa Blanca was worth the effort, stunning.

Traveller's tip on shopping

Don’t go near the so called Super markets along the prom, they’re a rip off! Head to Playa Blanca were prices are reasonable.

Beautiful Hotel

This hotel was beautiful. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and also spoke very good English.

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Be sure to explore the whole resort on our last day we discoved another two swimming pools. The complementary bus that takes you to the near by town/beach was great, as it was quite a walk.
