hotel legoland - a hotel with a difference
This is a good hotel if you are going to Legoland and I would recommend that you buy your tickets from the hotel when you check-in as you will get a good discount. There are some nice features such as lego figures in the reception and an ID tags for younger kids which correspond to the room they belong to. The staff are very helpful and helped us get to neighbouring towns. Billund itself is not geared for tourists at all and is lifeless at night. There is a free airport shuttle bus to and from the hotel and free lego in the hotel room. The breakfast buffet is very good with food to suit all tastes. Overall its a nice hotel which the kids will love.
Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay
I would recommend visting Kolding which is an hour away from the bus sop outside Legoland. Koldinghus is a castle with fantastic views and is a lovely ruin castle. The lake has some stunning houses and there are soem nice cafes. Vejle is another nearby town with a newly built shopping centre and nice main street. A day in each town will be enough though.

Great place to stay if going to Legoland
Hotel is the best place to stay if are taking the family to Legoland. The rooms have Lego sheets, artwork, and there is a discounted admission.
Traveller's tip on dining
Skip the buffet dinner at the hotel (the food is too expensive and not very good. There are some restaurants in Billund that are much better. The hotel buffet breakfast is included in the room price, and there is a nice selection.
