Good, Inexpensive, Airport Hotel
Admiral Suites Bangkok is a good option for an overnight stay if you are flying from Suvarnabhumi Airport the next day. Helpful and friendly staff, access to local fast food restaurants, straight forward route to and from the airport.

Have easy access to the hotel telephone number. This can be great help if your directions get lost in translation with your taxi driver.

Decent hotel in terrible location
The big problem here is the parking area on one side of the hotel used by coaches and mini vans,which are coming and going all the time especially late into the evening and early morning.If you stay on this side and on the lower floors as i did,the noise and fumes from these vehicles beiing sucked into the aircon is very unpleasant.

Inexpensive Hotel that delivers
If your looking for an inexpensive Hotel in Bangkok you will not be disappointed staying at the Admiral. The staff is helpful especially the day bellboy. Talk to him instead of the front desk. Emporium shopping mall is close by as well as the Sky train. There is a free shuttle from the Admiral to the Emporium. Check schedule for pickup and drop off. No tour operator at the Hotel so we went to the larger hotel next door. Taxi to tourist areas is $3.50 to $4. They have a pool on the roof but we never used it only went up to check it out. The gym didn’t look that great. Parrot Cafe next door is where you will eat and use the internet. It is connected to the Admiral but not part of the Hotel. Food Mart is next to Parrot Cafe if you need anything like additional water, snacks, ice cream etc..
