Would stay somewhere else next time
I understand that hotel rooms in Europe are much smaller compared to US hotel rooms, but the bathroom at Hotel Holiday took it to another level. By all means, I didn’t expect a luxury room as you get what you pay. That shower was something else though - I got claustophopic when I took a shower. I am 5’4 slim Asian girl. I don’t need that much space, but I could barely turn around to scrub my back. You can imagine how my husband who is 6 feet must felt. :) Seriously, it’s a trap. The carpet looks dungy. Breakfast was terrible. My cappucino was not drinkable. The one good thing I will mention about this hotel is the location. It was easy to reach from the train station. It was close to all the sights in Bologna. In sum, I would pay a little extra and get a nicer hotel next time. The shower situation was just intolerable.
Traveller's tip on dining
Loved the food in Bologna! You gotta go to these bars and order a drink which comes then with some appetizers for free (or buffet). Great way to enjoy wine and food. Very economical and fun!

Nice hotel for value!
This hotel is clean and offers a nice spread for breakfast. I especially liked that there was a fridge in the room. However, my room did not have any windows except a sunroof. I would recommend staying here...the location is great, albeit it is located in an ally.
