Disappointed
Considering it is not cheap to stay here we were surprised to see no bath tub and only a shower. In a good location and good staff.

Inconvenient and pricey
I have stayed in various Rotana properties in the uAE and this was by far the lowest grade. The room is very basic, and there is very minimal parking. This must be the only hotel I have seen in the UAE that not only has inadequate parking but doesnt have valet eiter. Interestingly, I checked into an Rotana Arjaan in Dubai soon after I checked out of this hotel and the two suites were like night and day. Whereas the Al Maha had one large room with dated furniture, a very sub-standard bathroom for a hotel of its class, and a tiny, inadequate kitchen, the one in Dubai had a half bath, an amazing kitchen, a jacuzzi. It really felt 5 star. The Al Maha has very minimal parking so for the one week I was staying there I had to park by the curb in the adjacent lot. The location is fairly central, and I realize that there is definitely a shortage of quality hotels in Abu Dhabi. Indeed, this is by no means an awful hotel. However, it is overpriced for what it is, and I would definitely not rate this among the top 5 in Abu Dhabi.

Excellent Value in Abu Dhabi
This is an excelent hotal. The rooms, even the standard ones, are spacious and very well appointed. If you want a peaceful hights slepp thiosn is the hotel for you. However dont expect to eat or drink here. The hotel does not have a licence and the restaurant is basic. But there are pleanty of places to eat and dring in this town. The hotel is great value
Traveller's tip on dining
Try the Indian restuarant at the "Beach Rotana" hotel (close by the Al Maha) the best in Abu Dhabi.
