Value in Bangkok
Ita a decent hotel, nicer on the inside then on the outside. Breakfast is included and is quite good when i compare with several different places around. When I booked my hotel the price was reconable for the location and the quality. However, when I extented one additional night I the cost of my hotel room went up. I did not feel like moving because of one night so I paid the price.

Ok for the price of hotel room accomodaiton in Bangkok
The public hallway on the 15th floor from my room to the lift is dirty, dim, and smelly. Need better maintainance of cleanliness and brighter illumination.

Great place to stay for the price
Stayed eight days at the hotel in a 2-bedroom suite. The living area was smaller than what was shown on the web page but still a nice unit. The beds were comfortable, room service cleaned the room every day, the buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of foods, and the main areas of the hotel were beautiful. The hotel is not near the main restaurant areas so we had to take a tuk-tuk or taxi but they were really inexpensive. We ate in Chinatown several nights and felt very safe to travel at night as two women tourists. The main negative about the hotel is the front desk service. They do not speak English as well as we thought they should. Asking directions or getting suggestions on nearby restaurants was difficult. On the night before I had to catch my plane, I asked the front desk to be sure to put in a wake-up call for me at 4:30 AM. The clerk said he understood and would do it right away. I never received the call which could have been disasterous in catching my plane. Thank heavens I woke up about 4 AM and packed my bags. Overall, I would stay again at the Prince Palace Hotel, especially for the hotel quality and price we paid for the suite.
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
Check out the tour prices at the travel company at the Bangkok airport. Their tour prices were less than several other tour companys. We like the all day tour to the ancient city of Siam and also the national park tour where we rode elephants in the jungle. If you stay in the Prince Palace Hotel, take an empty suitcase. The hotel is over 6 floors of discount clothes shops plus shops on the street. Bargain the beginning asking price.
