Not Impressed

No one on staff spoke ANY english, extremely challanging, I had booked a upgraded room kept showing me basic room even thought only 3 other rooms being used in the hotel. Never got messages that were phoned to the hotel for me. no phones in room. several lights out in room, some closets warped closed, stove and oven did not work, had to ask for room cleaning. the few people on staff were very young, had to find people outside who spoke spanish to ask any questions. Unless you speak spanish don’t stay at this property.

Can’t Be Called A Hotel

Condidtions at this hotel is far less then what would be expected for a vacation spot. There was no hot water for showers, the sheets were so thin you could see the mattress through them and no there were no mattress pad. From a safety standpoint the door to our room wasn’t even an exterior door and did not have a dead bolt. Which made my wife so uncomfortable we choose to stay at a near by brand name hotel. This hotel shouldn’t be consider for your stay no matter how inexpensive it is. One more thought the pictures you see are from long long ago in better days.

Fun Hotel- Great location!!!

We loved this hotel...it was in the best location! Right by the Marina, the mall, the beach, tons of local restuarants, etc. It was also quiet and relaxing. The pool was nice, but be sure to bring your own float. For people who aren’t willing to "think outside the box" and are dependant on a US hotel and all of those "luxuries"...this isn’t the place for them. We LOVED it and love feeling like we are really in Mexico and enjoying everything around us (besides a bunch of all-inclusive hotels)!!!

Stay here only if you have a sense of humor and location is important

Hotel was hard to find.... very small sign out front that just says hotel but the front looks like a storefront. Courtyard was beautiful, pool was acceptable but missing a few tiles. Rooms were ???? First room was not king bed but a double.... pull out bed was there but when we asked for bedding we were moved to another room.... language was a definate barrier. Second room was okay but during the first night a leak developed off the back of the toilet and we were told "plumber 1 hour" Seven hours later upon our return nothing had been done and our room was a lake. Upon being told once again "plumber 1 hr." We asked for and were given another room. locaton is great though and the courtyard was very relaxing.

Don’t waste your time or money

It may seem like you are saving money, but this place is terrible. It was overall a miserable experience and I am shocked that this low quality, mouse infested, roach infested hotel is even an option. Sheets didn’t look like they were changed from the previous occupants since there was hair that didn’t belong to me or anyone I was with on the sheets and in the bathroom.

The bedsheets are old and worn out and a poor quality. Other than that, it was pretty nice for the price.

Quant hotel steps away from the craziness of Cabo!

Villas del Pescador is perfect for anyone who is looking to visit Cabo and not be reminded that it’s a huge tourist destination. The hotel is small (many locals didn’t even know where it is) but it’s right in the middle of town, within walking distance to everything. Hotel staff was very friendly. If you are looking for a no-frills hotel stay and are more interested in sightseeing, this is the place to stay.

Loved it!

We loved the location and the price! The rooms were nice, large and clean! We are definitely going to stay here again. Only a few blocks a way from the beach and a few steps to great food! miss it already : (

Decent Hotel for the Price -

This Hotel is exactly what is advertised, a one start Hotel providing a clean room with working amenitities, it has a nice pool, but, none of the trappings of expensive resorts. Great if you are a bunch of guys on a man-cation or a couple on a budget as it is walking distance to all the clubs, the marina for fishing, the beach and restaurants. I would not recommend it for family vacation as it is in the downtown area which is really not geared to children. There are inexpensive local restaurants within 100 ft of the hotel and all the entertainment and marina is within 5 blocks so you’d save money on taxi. Good choice for the price, romms are clean, TV works, AC works, beds are very firm, rooms have refrigerator and coffee makers.

Good location, bad service

The price of the hotel is affordable. That’s one of the reasons we chose to stay in this hotel. The location of the hotel was very convenient. The hotel is located on the main street in Cabo San Lucas across from the mall, next to bars and restaurants. So, location was great. Nonetheless, the staff is not very helpful. As soon as we got there, we needed to acknowledge our presence to the guy who was in the front desk. The hotel room is small but comfortable. Though, the cleaning service was not efficient. They only provided two towels, and those towels were never changed. We requested more and clean towels, but we never received them. On top of that, there was a leak in the bathroom which we reported. That leak was never fixed. Overall, the price is all right, location is great, but service is really bad. If you don’t care about service and cleaningless, go for it!

Convenient Location

This hotel was located within walking distance of the marina and the nightclubs. We did not spend money on transportation to go out (only to go to special activities). We were near local restaurants where the locals eat. We ate great food that was not expensive. If you like practicality and convenience ratherer than esthetics, this is the hotel for you. The hotel is not obvious. It blends in with the other businesses but it is located about 2 blocks from "the Mall".

NOT TOO SHABBY

My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights here before going to our resort. This was my 4th time in cabo. We wanted to get the downtown scene out of the way so we didn’t have to keep making several trips into town. Best thing I ever did. This Hotel is only 2 stories and right smack downtown. Basically directly accross the street from the mall and within just a couple blocks from the clubs. Our stay was quiet clean and very enjoyable. At first I was a little nervous because the front desk guy was a little difficult to communicate with. Seemed nice enough. He did where the same basketball jersey until we checked out on the third day, i guess that was the only weird thing. It was a nice stay at a reasonable price. Oh yeah and the beds WERE a little on the cement slab side.

if you plan on coming to Cabo a day or two early, while waiting to check in you resort. I highly recomend staying in town. This would save you a great deal of time and money with taxis and shuttles to and from your resort. Than enjoy what you paid for while your at the resort and just relax.

Way better than expected !

Location, Location, ...and price ! When I made our reservations for 5 days/ 4 nights, I wasn’t expecting much for a "One Star" Hotel... It was three guys going for a "Fishing Vacation", and we figured we’d only be spending time at the Hotel for sleeping... What a pleasant surprise to find a very comfortable "suite" with two nice clean bedrooms and a common living room and kitchen with stove, microwave and refrigerator...It’s not a 5 star facility, but the rooms were clean, the bathrooms were fully functional, the air conditioning in the bedrooms worked perfectly in the 95 degree heat...and the nice swimming pool was a big added bonus... We were within 5 blocks of a "Super Mercado" and multiple nightclubs and the marina...The downside was that the hotel doesn’t have a freezer to store the fish we caught...We had to make arrangements with the boat captain to freeze our fish, but it worked out OK... I’ll be back to this hotel !

Don’t leave your gear unattended..The only negative to our visit was that while we were bringing fishing gear from our room to the street in front of the Hotel to be picked up for the trip to our boat, someone walked off with a bag containing our camera’s ...Live and Learn !

If your on a tight budget this is a place for you. On the pictures it appeard to look great but I did not like it. I found two dead roaches and the bed was extremely hard.

What I found out from a local cab driver is that you can stay out of town and catch a bus for 10 pesos which is much less that the $20 each way.

Good Location

Hotel great buy for the money and a SUPER location if you are out to see the town and party like a Rock Star. The pool is nice and security is good. When you drive up it looks a little "shady" from the outside but once you are in the gates it is an enjoyable experience. The staff did a WONDERFUL job cleaning the suite every day. Didn’t see any roaches.... 1 GECO outside of the room. Perfect for Spring Breakers/Party People. I wouldn’t recommend for family vacation.

Party Central

Not a bad hotel...looks bad from the outside, but the inside is an oasis. Definitely not 5-star, but then again, I have also stayed at much worse. Staff is friendly and helpful.

A decent place for a budget minded traveler. Good location, on the fringe of the "downtown area". We probably had the worst room in the place, upstairs, facing the street on friday night with a loud nightclub next door. I would definetly want a courtyard-pool facing room next time, preferably downstairs. Fairly clean room, with a nice very well taken care of pool and courtyard. Streetside apperance is shabby, but doesn’t represent the hotel at all.
