Lovely hotel - very good value
Very clean, comfortable and well equipped studio room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast (free) was fine. Not the best selection, but toast, cereals, croissants, muffins and pastries should be enough to start the day. Also plenty of juice, coffee and hot chocolate. Only downside was the area. Convenient location: 5 mins walk to latin quartin restaurants, 2 mins to Berri UQAM metro and Rue Ste Catherine, and 15 mins stroll to old town BUT very run down area. Lots of homeless people around. Would have felt uncomfortable walking alone at night. Only a few minutes walk from some very seedy clubs! Overall, good hotel for couples looking for somewhere clean and comfortable and inexpensive, or for anyone with a car (there is parking available)
Best area to dine if you want a good value meal is Chinatown. In the Old Town, Chez Suzette does a most delicious Brie, caramelised onion and tomato baguette. Follow this up with a dessert crepe to share for a lovely, reasonably priced lunch. Best deli in town (not for from McGill metro on Rue Ste Catherine) was Reubens - people queuing at midday for tables at a large restaurant (we only had to wait 10 minutes) - well worth it. Really big portions. Dont bother with a starter!

I will recommend this Hotel to enyone traveling to Montreal
This was a very comfortable and strategic location hotel in Montreal. Had kitchen in the room with all utensiles necessary, microwave, private bathroom. Beware, some hotel have share bathrooms. Metro is just around the corner with shopping food markets, Restaurants, very close to the University of Montreal; Latin Quarters.
The studio room is comfortable with a Queen size bed, and a Sofa bed, for four persons. Will save $$$$,in restaurant since it has full kitchen.
