Convenient and good value but needs an upgrade
Good location in nice area. staff friendly. nice room but a bit dated - mould round shower etc. Not dirty, just tired.

Rather tired and out of date
The staff were very friendly and helpful but the hotel seemed entrenched in the 1970s in terms of its decoration and fittings. We had booked a self catering studio apartment which was small but very charming. The main issue was that self catering was infact impossible - there was a sink, fridge, cooking utensils, frying pan, saucepan - but no cooker, hob, microwave or other method of heating food! We were able to see the funny side and weren’t too disappointed to have to eat out every night and so we didn’t complain - but I feel other potential visitors should know what to expect.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
In Varkiza bars right on the waterfront are quite expensive when compared with those on the other side of the road. We found one very reasonable, authentic greek restaurant where the staff and food were excellent - it’s next to the bank opposite the fabulous beach.
