Get what you pay for
As expected from the other reviews, Vanadis has tiny rooms and is not that great a place to stay. But if you are interested in saving some money and dont plan to be in your room much anyway, then it isnt so bad if your expectations are realistic (low). Hotel staff was pleasant and the location is great with a nearby train station and restaraunts in walking distance.

Clean and very basic but great location
This was the cheapest hotel we could find in Stockholm, The room has no furniture whatsoever apart from two very comfortable beds and a wall-mounted TV. We paid extra for a window and bathroom. The window was above head height and the curtains permanently shut, but the bathroom was invaluable. Staff are helpful and friendly, and the hotel is a 5-minute walk from Odenplan tube station or 20 minutes walk from the town centre. Having to live out of a suitcase and leave stuff on the floor (there were no surfaces at all) could be annoying, but this wasnt a deal-breaker and wed use Vanadis again.
We bought a travel card and dined in the suburbs. Even then, eating is around a third more expensive than London.

Horrible hotel!
Where to start? The run down former water park, slides and empty pool? The dirty blankets on the beds? The dirty bathroom floors? Or the floors in general that havent been cleaned in years? Graffiti on the front walls? I know that hotels in Stockholm are expensive but for the price I would expect a little bit better. This place was a dump. The internet worked for 2 days and then was broken for 3. The only positive, it was in a good location not far from the subway station.
