No water pressure in showers
Understanding that there was a convention in town, this was the only alternative. The room was cramped and the water pressure and hot water was almost non-esistent. Look at other options before selecting travellodge.

Nothing bad, nothing great
If you’re looking for a place just to sleep, this is a decent choice. When I was there, the free wi-fi has some issues, but the free wired Internet worked fine. The hotel is located near a mission for homeless people. Harmless people, but might intimidate some.
Traveller's tip on dining
The Reading Terminal Market is two blocks away and provides lots of different foods for one to try. It’s also a local attraction.

Not a bad stopover...
Nice little hotel pretty much smack bang in central Philly. No parking but there’s a lot about 100m up the street where you can park for $20 for 24hrs. The rooms were tidy and clean and reasonably comfortable, although the traffic outside was rather loud (not sure if it was double glazed or not!!) Breakfast buffet wasn’t great as has been said before, but it’s not the be all and end all. Not a bad price for a great location and decent hotel.
Traveller's tip on dining
There’s a couple of Afghan restaurants on (I think) Chestnut street. Check them out, first time we’d ever seen an Afghan restaurant and we weren’t disappointed!
