Wouldnt go back - This place is a joke
Paid extra for the "deluxe" room in hopes of getting a balcony and view of the piazza. What we got was a view of crappy buildings behind the hotel, no balcony, and dirty carpets. We didnt even get conditioner in the shower. The TV was tiny, old, and they did not have satellite dish or movies. Room was large but that was about it. Glad we only stayed one night, our other hotel in the area was much better and about half the price.

It is not a Four Seasons, Ritz, Ritz Carlton, Savoy or Penisula experience
Beautiful hotel. However, insufficient and poorly trained staff needs total overhaul if they wish to be a 5 stars experience.

Great Hotel, convenient location
We spent a couple of nights at the Exedra in Rome - conveniently located next to Metro Republica and within walking distance or 1 Metro stop from Termini Main Rail Station that links to the Da Vinci Airport. Surprised to read in some Guide Books that Piazza Republica was described as "seedy"!? Maybe these were out of date reviews as Republica and the Exedra surroundings are very slick, sleek and modern(possibly the Piazza has recently been refurbished?). ...Or maybe the Guide Books were simply taking a swipe at the McDs that is a neighbour on the Piazza!? Either way, we had a fantastic room at Exedra (Boscolo Deluxe) very spacious, ludicrously high ceilings, comfortable and well appointed. As stated in all the Reviews, Food & Drink is pricey, but minutes from the door of the hotel are literally hundreds of Bars & Restaurants for Breakfast through Dinner.
Traveller's tip on dining
Fantastic local Restaurant "Pietro" on Via Jesu & Maria, just off Via Bambuino (a few minutes from Spagna Metro). Not especially cheap, but great value - superb authentic Italian cuisine.
