Value for money
We stayed in two different hotels in the city within two months, and therefore realised the stark contrast between these two. I must say, our first stay at the Thistle Caledonian was a total disappointment and more expensive against the second one at Holiday Inn that was more pleasant. Our only complaint is about noises made by seagulls in the early hours as perhaps, the Holiday Inn lacks soundproofing or doubleglazing. But, I would definitely rcommend everyone to go for it as it provides better value for your money, especially if you visit there with a family or children.

Well impressed.
We stayed overnight, bright, warm, comfortable room, staff very pleasant, clean hotel, close to all bars and restaurants, with a location in a quiet street away from any late night noise, finished off with a continental breakfast, will definately be back and would recommend.

More than adequate
The staff were very friendly, the room was spacious and clean, although wouldn’t have fancied taking out the sofa bed. The bathroom was also spacious and clean. Breakfast was good, although don’t expect a cooked breakfast, it’s continental all the way and self serve.
