Very Disappointing

After being convinced by friends NOT to stay at Radisson Daugava, we booked this hotel at double the price. Air conditioning (in June) was non-functional. We lived in sweltering heat and all staff could do was bring us small fans to try and cool the rooms down. Restaurant was not at all "kid-friendly" and noise level at night was quite high. Staff were friendly, however, and the breakfasts (included with room) were exceptional.

We checked out the Radisson Daugava on our last day. It was BEAUTIFUL and would have been perfect. We were so disappointed we hadn’t "gone with our initial plans". Lesson learned: Don’t listen to your friends!

Nice Location

Very nice location If you by car, it has free parking right in front. The only thing is that in order to enter old town by car, you need a special permit. If you’re staying at this hotel, you need to call the hotel so they come and open the gate.

Beautiful hotel close to all sights

This hotel is very nice. The room was very spacious with a queen size bed. It even had 2 lounge chairs which is unheard of in European hotels. The hotel is situated i the heart of the old city and close to all sights, restaraunts and night life. I would stay here again.

Traveller's tip on local attractions

To get the best view of Riga it woth going to the cathedral and going to the viewing deck. Only 2 floghts of stairs then a lift to the top. Perfect! The occupation museum is worth a visit. The hop on/off bus is a good way to get around and get your bearings. Everything is within walking distance.
