First rate hotel.
Great hotel, great location. Right off Parliament Square near the Plaka, within walking distance of the Acropolis, the Agora, Hadrians Arch etc. Rooms good looking and comfortable, service first rate, everybody at the hotel friendly and helpful. Couldnt have been more satisfied.

King George Palace - Great location, Great service, wee bit pricey.
My wife and I went to Greece for our second anniversary and stayed at the King George Palace for 5 nights. Its in a great central location for trekking about Athens on foot. There are great restaurants in pretty much every direction within a 10 minute walk or less. Its also a very well known hotel, so if you do take a taxi its never hard to get back. The service was extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Athens for a few days.

Nice, but...
Probably not best value. I was promised an Acropolis view room, but instead got a suite upgrade (which I had no use for) with a view to an ugly courtyard. What is nice is that while their onsite gym is laughable, they provide free access to an upscale fitness club around the corner, very nice. Breakfast buffet is also very good, though not the very best Ive seen in other places. Overall, it is sort of luxurious, but not really worth the price.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
For nice drinks, go to Bartesera nearby. Other than that, of course, see the Acropolis and walk through the Plaka. The new Acropolis museum, btw, is in my opinion mostly interesting for its architecture, less for whats in it.
