Great Location for expense of Bad service
The Hotel location is great for shopping. We were also upgraded to an executive room. So it all starts well. However, then in the evening we wanted to make a call but the phone wouldn’t work and we contacted reception, who were abit rude and said a technician will be on his way. The technician never came. So I went downstairs to meet reception face to face. I told the receptionist and she said rudely and with an attitude "ok go back upstairs and phone me to tell me the problem". I did that and she said the same thing that a technician knows about it. We waited and no technician and we really had to make a call. So I went and spoke to another person on reception, who was very helpful and got the technician to come straight away. The technician came, picked up the phone and said " oh it doesn’t work" and he phoned reception to tell them it doesn’t work. Thats all he did except touch the cable. Then finally reception believed us and managed to get the phone connected after many hours. Apart from the phone, the executive room really wasn’t much of an executive room, it was quite small and you get no perks with it such as fruit bowl and breakfast, so didn’t see the point, on the net the delux room looked much better. Lastly the toilet didn’t flush well.
Orchard road is fantastic for shopping. However, need to give yourself plenty of time to see everything.

Great location - can use an update
This hotel is great if you’re not going to spend a lot of time in the room. The rooms themselves need an update - old tub, dated rug, etc. However, it is clean and the service was friendly. The location is GREAT! Walking distance to Botantic Gardens, and all the shops on Orchard Road.

Great for the price and location
My only problem with the hotel was that I left a ring that was not very valuable but priceless to me in sentimental value. I told them exactly where it was and of course they didn’t return it. Singapore hotels are usually very honest and I was very disappointed. May consider not staying there again due to this incident.
