Would never stay there again
Small rooms, A/C did not work in 1 room, was not repaired dispite assurances for 8 hours it would be. Shower only had half of the shower door. Rough area of Naples, family did not feel safe staying at the Hotel Palace

Hot Hot Hot
The only good thing about this hotel was its closeness to the train station. The room was very hot and although there was an airconditioner in the room it did not work.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
This is a very run down area of town and not nice to be in after dark. Quite a nice restaurant, with cheap beer and good food on the piazza.

Safe, clean, and in need of a good coat of paint
The hotel is a bargain, and they include a real cappuccino with the free breakfast. The staff is pleasant. The beds were softer than those at a convent. However, the bargain comes from the fact that the whole hotel needs a renovation. The new things are likely to be emblazoned with the names of other hotels. If you can handle graduate student housing or undergraduate dorms (with private bath), you should be fine. Overall, it’s a safe, cheap way to see Naples... and it’s very close to the train station. If you travel light, you won’t need a taxi.
