Lovely accommodation - unsuitable location
The actual hotel is excellent with delightful rooms, excllent grounds and helpful friendly service. As a place to stay it couldn’t be better. Unfortunately its location really lets it down, especially if you don’t have transport. To reach it you have to walk through the back of a super-market which at night is dark and slightly scarey, the buses into and from the town centre run irregular, and the 1/2 hour walk into town is uphill along a busy main-road. This really took the edge off an otherwise enjoyable stay.
