OUTSTANDING
I have traveled to 40 countries and have stayed in backpacker hotels and 5 star resorts. This is the best I’ve ever stayed in. The service is AMAZING. The lobby is breath-taking. Bar staff are super-courteous and the buffet is superb. We booked a standard room and it was HUGE. The facilities are amazing and the hotel is in Bhandra - a peninsula north of the city centre. In Mumbai traffic, its an hour from Colaba. I’d stay there again if it wasn;t in Mumbai. A mad city! But then again, we were in India for one month and I’m from London...we needed a beach by then. So yes, Id stay again.

Best for Service in Bombay
You could not find a better hotel for service in Mumbai in my opinion (even better than the other Taj near India Gate). From the moment you check in, to your final exit through the double doors, everything was well taken care of and thought of. The managers at breakfast made me feel very special, by introducing me to the different types of Indian breakfasts from the various regions in India. I arrived at the hotel at 1.30am and even then, the staff were attentive and very accommodating. The only downside was that the hydro spa was being refurbished so was unavailable during August. Food and drink is pricey, but you get quality and thus do not object.
