Ideal base for touring
Great rooms. Well equipped for self catering, but no kettle or tea/coffee. Walking distance of the town. Unfortunately the pool was closed when we were there.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Located opposite the beach. Train service excellent. 10 minutes walk from station. 30 minute ride from Barcelona. Cheap fares.

Excellent standard for the Cost
We were immediately impressed on arrival by the informal but efficient staff and by the exceptional cleanliness of the rooms and grounds of the hotel and also the beach and streets of Vilanova. All our requirements were met promptly without any over interference. As seems to be the norm with self catering apartments, there is a minimum of equipment and here a kettle and a microwave would have been helpful. They obviously do not expect guests to undertake much advanced cooking and the very sensitive smoke alarms are linked to reception which meant we received a few concerned phone calls but it is better to be safe than sorry. Our main (but minor) criticisms were the absence of any English newspapers (French and German were supplied) and limited Enlgish language TV channels, and also the lack of a focal point by way of a cheerful and popular bar in the hotel. The local bars and restaurants were however very friendly, especially if you make the effort to speak in Spanish. The resort seems particularly popular with Spanish holidaymakers.
