Close to Metro
Just a few blocks from the Metro. Upscale hotel. The surrounding area is mostly light industrial. Just a few blocks up the street is a small store where you can get drinks for your room. Being close to the metro stop was the plus. Has an in room safe for 2 Euro a night. Well worth the security.

Good choice of hotel
This is a very good hotel. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the Port Olympic and beach area and only a few minutes from a Metro station. The receptionists were multi-lingual and extremely helpful. The general area initially seems industrial but there are a few bars, eating places close by and a few discos / clubs.One of the best music clubs in Barcelona ’Razamataz’is on the next block. Cannot comment on the breakfast as in our case this was not included but at 12 Euro a bit expensive but typical for hotels in Barcelona. it is best explore and try local bars/cafe. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

Upscale Hotel
I had never been to Barcelon before. The hotel is located in a seedy part of the town unfortunately. Although I felt safe, I did not elect to walk around during late night hours. There was a foul odor in the residential area as well suggestive of sewer drainage. The hotel, in contrast, was excellent, and once inside, one was not aware of the actual neighborhood. The rooms were clean and the service was excellent.
Traveller's tip for business travellers
Get to know the train system. It is extremely efficient and very inexpensive. What would have cost me hundreds of dollars of transportation for 5 days ultimately cost me less than $25.00 in public transportation
